Condo 812

When we arrived, we were an hour early. When I went to the front desk, I asked her if I could use a restroom around there. She said the restroom was behind the gate and I would have to wait. Not friendly at all.

The room itself was pretty clean, as far as the floors and countertops and beds. However, a lot of rust. The door hinges were all rusty. The shower curtain was rusty and looked like it hadn't been changed in years. The coach cushions were discolored and looked dirty. The chairs on the balcony were made of PVC pipe and torn up. The bathtub in the main bedroom was clogged up and water would backup in the bathtub when taking a shower. The walls have paint scraped off most of the corners of walls and looks really bad. These are things that would take very little money to make the unit look much better and cleaner.

The unit does not come with beach service. For 2 chairs and an umbrella, it is $55 a day. You cannot bring your own tent or umbrellas. They say it's a liability, but every place I've ever stayed has allowed us to bring our own.

All in all, I fell like if the owner would just do some minor touch ups, this unit would be a much better stay.

When we got there we found out that you can’t use the beach unless you pay for their chairs and umbrellas which cost 55 bucks per day, we had three if us so that would have cost us more than a hundred dollars per day. We ended up going to a different beach the whole time we were there. We only had two rolls of single ply toilet paper to last 4 days, with two women that is impossible. The dryer was broken so we couldn’t use it. The mattress in the master bedroom was like sleeping on a box spring. The chair on the balcony was falling apart. The plus was parking was pretty good and the air conditioning worked great. The view was really awesome , just couldn’t enjoy the beach there. A stark reminder why I would never live in an HOA run property.

Great view and location by shops and restaurants. Nice quiet clean beach with great beach service. Pool was ok, but hot tub was small and didn't work half the time. Rental itself was clean and comfortable. Condo management was great. Check in smooth and helpful.

We loved being in a Sterling Sands Condo. The grounds, pool, hot tub, beach access, etc., was wonderful! We also really liked Condo 812 with the exception of the following: the second bedroom was VERY SMALL! There is no closet and the dresser was kid-size! The bed (double bunk) was not good with there being no room for two people to even get out of the bed. Very disappointed with this bedroom. The bathroom sink in the bathroom attached to this bedroom did not have ANY water pressure. Also the master bedroom closet needs to be fixed. The TV remote (not the cable remote) had corroded batteries and we were not able to use it. Lastly, the dishwasher does not work well.

Unit was somewhat dated. View was amazing. Property manager on site was very courteous and helpful.
