26 Years at Sterling Sands; Condo 309 - NO

1. One elevator was not working and the other was extremely slow the first 2 days; it got somewhat better. I just had foot surgery. We had to carry groceries up 3 flights of steps.
2. Toilet in the second bedroom would not stop running - called maintenance to fix; they quickly fixed it.
3. Dishes in cabinet were dirty (we had to take them all out and run them through the dishwasher.
4. I'm 5'7" and the bed was so tall, I had a difficult time getting into the primary bed - it was very tall (and hard).
5. Construction was loud when we opened the doors to the deck to the ocean.
6. The deck floor was filthy and we had to go buy a squeegie to clean the windows on the deck because they were so cloudy.
7. The pool had debris in it and the chairs around the pool were dirty as well.
8. Also the light switch plates were dirty and scuffs on the wall.
9. We only had 2 towels in each bathroom. We called and got more.
10. There was no spatula for cooking (there was a large one with a long handle for grilling but not for cooking) and no casserole dish. I've rented different rooms here for 26 years. Never have I experienced a lack of kitchen utensils.
We spend a lot of money (thousands of dollars) to stay at this place. I know inflation is high - maybe they were trying to save money, but when you spend a lot of money and look forward to the little time you have off as a working adult - you want that week to go well. It was simply a series of small issues that created more work for me.
Ocean enjoyment

It needed to be stocked better. No beach towels. No tissues. One roll of toilet paper per bathroom. A wine frig and no corkscrew. We purchased one.
No spices of any kind. These things are items found in a rental normally.
Otherwise, a very nice condo.

Elizabeth was wonderful to work with in terms of any questions we had. Fantastic access to the beach and pool, not too crowded, and an absolutely beautiful unit. 10 out of 10.!!

We didn't think we could do our annual fall Destin trip for 2024, so when we decided we would, lots of places were already booked. However, we were so lucky to find that this condo was free! It turned out to be one of our favorite places to stay. It's clean, bright, and beautifully decorated. All of the amenities were there! The manager provided GREAT customer service...stellar, really! 10/10 Highly Recommend!!

We had a wonderful time and I must say that this hotel/condo was beautiful. The decorating made it fun and beach oriented. Very clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The property grounds were clean and nicely landscaped. Everyone was nice and helpful. We would definitely come back.
