Everything was great
This was the perfect "Back to School" vacation for us and our grandchildren. This unit was very accommodating, well equipped, clean and in a perfect location in Destin. Unit 201, corner unit, had a fantastic view of the beach and the amusement park across the street. We spent time at the pool, the beach, hit the amusement park with the kids, and ate dinner at he Back Porch Seafood Grill on the beach, 1/2 mile away which was outstanding! This was our best beach trip yet!
We recently stayed in unit 201 while other family members stayed in other units. We found our unit to be fairy, very much in need of updating and painting throughout the unit. Also, the view was not as expected. We only had go front view from the master bedroom. Overall, the space was large and accommodating for our family reunion, however, we were very disappointed and how dated the unit was. The master bathroom showerhead desperately needs replaced, the furniture is very worn and stained, baseboards, and other areas throughout need a good cleaning. Other units throughout the property were much nicer and overall the property itself was nice enough. Unit 201 was a disappointment though.
We did 4 nights here 4 adults & 2 kids. This property had the location, number of bedrooms & bathrooms we wanted & it worked fine, everyone had a good time & yes we would stay again. Management was helpful and check in & out was easy. The unit was clean but the pictures did not quite match, the blinds in the dinning area facing east had been taken down so we were very exposed to traffic at all times, this is my one complaint for this unit & there was no photo of the 3rd bedroom which is 2 double beds, this was were the kids slept. One last thing anything consumable you must bring yourself, cooking oil, salt & pepper, coffee filters, ect.
We thoroughly enjoyed our getaway at Sterling Sands Vacation Rentals. We were a group of 6 staying for a senior trip. The rooms were spacious, the gulf view was spectacular, and the location was on point. I would highly recommend this spot, if you're looking for a relaxing getaway.
Place wasn’t very clean. One toilet was making an awful noise that kept us awake at night. Fire alarm was going beeping when we arrived after hours. Not stock with essentials like toilet paper and simple things.
I do not have a way with words, but this property (and room 201 specifically) were fantastic. Great view, yet not too high up. The unit itself was perfect for the group that went. All the rooms were separated by enough space you could be by yourself if need be, yet everyone was able to easily flow into the central area. Perfect for groups or families.
This place is awesome for families to get away. Right on the beach, few steps away, with all ameneties required for a very relaxed vacation with family. Host kept in touch with all required information for a smooth check-in and excellent instructions to make the stay a very comfortable and safe.
